Crystalline, i.e. sodium fluoroaluminate, has a molecular formula Na₃AlF₆. It has a wide range of uses, mainly used in the aluminum electrolytic industry; the grinding industry; the smelting of metals such as steel, copper, and lead; the ceramic and glass industry; the chemical industry; agricultural and building materials; it can also be used in the production of fireproof materials, thermal insulation materials, electronic materials and fireworks and fireworks production.

1. Appearance: Usually colorless and white, sometimes light gray, light brown, light red, or brick red. The relative density is 2.95-3.1. Melting point 1009 degrees Celsius. Slightly soluble in water. Under normal conditions, it does not decompose or evaporate, but is prone to water absorption and moisture absorption. In solid state, it is non-conductive, while in molten state, ions can move freely and have good conductivity. The particle size can be adjusted according to the purpose or customer requirements, but there should be no lumps larger than 10mm in size in the product.
2. High molecular weight cryolite can maintain a stable molecular ratio between 2.8-3.0, while ordinary cryolite can adjust its molecular ratio arbitrarily between 1.3-2.8.
3. Application advantages: Used in the aluminum electrolysis industry, it is a flux in the process of aluminum electrolysis, which can lower the melting point of alumina. Alumina has a high melting point, exceeding 2000 degrees. After adding cryolite, its melting point can be reduced to around 1000 degrees, which allows electrolysis to be carried out at lower temperatures, reducing energy consumption and lowering costs; At the same time, it can enhance the conductivity of the electrolyte, which is conducive to the better movement of aluminum ions in the electrolyte, thereby improving electrolysis efficiency and increasing aluminum production and quality. Used in the grinding industry as a wear-resistant additive for grinding products, it can be added to grinding materials such as grinding wheels to improve their wear resistance, cutting force, and service life. It can also reduce the surface temperature and oxidation degree of the grinding surface, and minimize the burn area of the cut material. Used in the metallurgical industry as a flux in the smelting of metals such as steel, copper, and lead, it can lower the melting point of metals, increase melting speed and yield; Serve as a deoxidizer during the casting process, removing impurities and improving metal purity and quality. As a flux in glass manufacturing, it reduces the melting temperature of glass raw materials, saves energy costs, improves glass transparency and quality, and promotes uniform distribution of components. In ceramic production, it is used in ceramic glaze formulation to improve glaze flowability, glossiness, enhance glaze strength and wear resistance. In the chemical industry, it is the raw material for manufacturing chemical products such as aluminum fluoride and hydrofluoric acid. It can be used as an insecticide in agriculture. In terms of building materials, it can be used to manufacture fireproof materials and insulation materials. It can also be used for fireworks and firecrackers production, optical materials, electronic materials, etc.
