Source:   Author:

Potassium hexafluoroaluminate, CAS number 13775-52-5, is an inorganic compound. The preparation method mainly includes reacting anhydrous hydrofluoric acid with aluminum hydroxide to form fluoroaluminate, and then reacting with potassium hydroxide at high temperature to obtain it; Or synthesized by reacting aluminum fluoride, ammonium fluoride, and potassium chloride.

This substance is mainly used as a pesticide and raw material for ceramics and glass industries, and can also be used in aluminum brazing processes. It should be stored in a ventilated and dry environment, packaged in burlap or woven bags lined with polyethylene (50kg per bag) to avoid contact with food and acidic substances. Water, sand or carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers can be used for extinguishing fires.

Fluorinated aluminum acid is produced by reacting anhydrous hydrofluoric acid with aluminum hydroxide, then reacting with potassium hydroxide at high temperature, filtering, drying, melting, and crushing. It can also be prepared by reacting aluminum fluoride, ammonium fluoride, and potassium chloride.

Used as an insecticide, as well as in the ceramics, glass industry, and aluminum brazing.

Packaged in burlap or woven bags lined with polyethylene film, with a net weight of 50kg per bag. It should be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse. Strictly prevent moisture. Do not store or mix with food or acids during transportation. Water, sand, and carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers can be used to extinguish fires.
